A 5-step Janet Jackson’s Full Body Routine To Lose Weight And Tighten Loose Skin
When it comes to getting ready for a music tour, no other performer has been able to look as stellar as Janet Jackson. I teach my clients is to train the way you want to look. You have to make your moves functional and body specific. We don’t have time to haphazardly train and get nothing for our time and effort. Janet just had a baby and dropped 70 pounds. Her current workout isn’t too much different from the one she did when she got ready for tours like Rhythm Nation. Here is what it looked like.
Her Lower Body Workout
Step 1 – Her Legs
To get toned, dancer legs like Janet, do Plié squats, straight-legged dead-lifts, and dumbbell squats 2x per week. I recommend 3 sets of 20 reps per exercise using weights that are comfortable to hold and give you moderate resistance.
Step 2 – Her Upper Body Workout
The following upper body exercises will result in beautiful tight, firm, toned arms on the days you are not doing the lower body workout exercises. Do 2 sets of 20 repetitions of each with light to moderate weight except pushups use your own bodyweight for the following exercises:
Push-ups
Seated Dumbbell Lat pull-downs
Chest Flyes,
Biceps and Triceps supersets- working them back-to-back without rest and shoulder lateral raises
Step 3- Her Abs – 3 X week – Variety of angles, crunches, reverse crunches, crossover crunches, working them for a total of ten minutes with little rest.
Step 5 – Cardio
Do 5-6 days of cardio for 45 minutes to an hour each session.
Step 6 – Her Recovery
Make sure to have one day off from all exercising to let your body recover. To keep your skin tight while you transform your body, I suggest you do like I did when I lost over 60 pounds.
