Warning! Is Your Lash Growth Serum Toxic?
3 Ingredients To Grow Long Lashes Naturally Without Harm Or Injury
Dear Victoria,
Thank you so much for all your informative articles! I’m always learning something new from your newsletters. I’m wondering if you can help me with a problem I’ve been dealing with for a few years. In my early 20s (I’m now 35 years old) I had long, thick eyelashes and never had to wear mascara. Now, my lashes are thin, short, and sparse. I’m considering using eyelash serum, but I’m not sure if they work or if they are safe to use. What are your thoughts? I just want my lovely long eyelashes back! HELP!
Lesley
Hi Lesley,
Wow! I understand your desire to have your lovely lashes back. Having full eyelashes and brows is a sign of good health and youthfulness. The first thing I want to advise you to do if you are not doing these things already is to make sure you are eating a healthy diet rich with green vegetables, low-sugar fruits, and plenty of protein. Make sure you are hydrated daily, and exercise is key to not only a healthy body, but it helps to reduce stress which can be a major cause of thinning eyelashes and brows. Second, many eyelash and brow serums are on the market, and not all of them are good for you. In fact, there is a highly toxic ingredient in many of them. It’s called isopropyl cloprostenate. a prostaglandin analog (A prostaglandin is a chemical in the body made of fatty acids that have hormone-like effects; an analog is a synthetic version that has similar qualities to the original). This particular ingredient is a man-made version of the FDA-approved medical version and the purpose is to do the same thing as prescription eyelash growth serums. The side effects of this ingredient can be harmful to your eyes and skin. That’s why I created my brand, which includes natural ingredients that help your eyelashes and brows grow faster without harmful side effects. My serum includes the following ingredients:
Coconut Oil extract
Coconut oil contains saturated and unsaturated fats that help promote new hair cell growth. It’s rich in vitamin E so it will keep your eyelashes well moisturized. Wearing fake eyelashes can damage eyelash follicles; therefore, using coconut oil on your lashes and brows helps to recover from damage. It also contains medicinal properties and acts as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antioxidant, which helps to prevent premature eyelash and brow hairs from falling out. It also helps moisturize the skin around the hair and follicles providing nutrients and accelerated hair growth.
Sesame Oil
Sesame oil is highly nourishing, healing, and perfect for lubricating hair and skin. It is rich in vitamin E, B complex, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, and protein that help to strengthen hair from the roots. It can treat premature graying; it helps to darken hair making lashes and brows more noticeable. It protects your skin and hair from UV rays, prevents dryness and hair loss, and helps speed up hair growth.
Non-Gmo Soy Protein
Soy protein (an amazing plant protein) plays a huge role in helping to make your lashes longer, darker, and thicker. Most diets are lacking in protein resulting in thin, weak lashes and brows. Soy protein contains amino acids, and healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and its full of antioxidants.
With super-powerful, effective, and natural ingredients like these, why use harmful unsafe chemicals?
