Resistant Band Exercise #1 – Crab Walk Squat
Begin with the resistant band placed 3 inches from your knees. From a standing position, lower your buttocks as if to sit in a chair keeping knees and feet hip-width apart, and hold the squat pose while stepping to one side, then the other while keeping a squatting position. Continue the movement for up to 2 minutes, then resume to a standing position.
Resistant Band Exercise #2 – Donkey Kickback
On an exercise mat, get down on hands and knees directly under your shoulders and hips. Hold one end of the resistant band starting with the right hand and place the foot in the loop. Extend your leg out, then pull it back end drawing your knee to your chest. Repeat for 1 minute, then switch sides for a total of 2 minutes.
Resistant Band Exercise #3 – Glute Bridge Abduction
While laying on your back, loop a resistant band 3 inches above your knees while your feet are flat on the mat and your arms vertical and flat on the mat. Using your hips, raise your lower body up and off the mat keeping your feet hip-width apart, tighten your buttocks muscles and hold for 2-3 seconds, then lower your hips. Repeat for 2 minutes.
