Help! Help! Help! I’ve been chosen as one of the commoners who will get to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markel’s wedding!!! I’m very excited, but if you are not aware, the UK’s water is horrible! It’s considered Hard Water meaning the water has high levels of calcium and magnesium. I use water filters in my home, but it still doesn’t help completely. It makes my skin dry and flaky and terribly wrinkled! How can I get my skin tight in a hurry?

Meghan starts her day with a glass of lemon water. Getting enough water is essential to maintaining healthy skin. I can never stress it enough! It’s about getting and staying hydrated! Your liver, which is responsible for managing your body’s metabolism and cleansing functions, needs at least 64 ounces of water daily. Adding lemon to your water will boost your metabolism, will help flush out toxins, and will help your body create more collagen which makes your skin smooth, toned, and tight!
2. Make Protein A Priority
Being vegan and vegetarian is very popular now for many reasons, however, the need for protein is very important. Protein is the building block for strong bones, teeth, muscles, and SKIN! Skin needs protein to help synthesize collagen and without it, your skin can become very dry, flaky, and wrinkled. In addition, most people who are vegan or vegetarian eat way too many carbohydrates and often not the right ones which can lead to weight gain, diabetes, and other health complications. Megan admits to being vegan most of the week and she is more flexible on the weekends, but she always starts her day with a protein shake. Protein shakes are the perfect breakfast choice because you can add so many amazing antioxidants to them, like fruit, flaxseed and chia seeds, matcha green tea, you name it. Here is one of Meghan’s favorite recipes:
Protein Smoothie –
Protein powder
½ cup blueberries
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup almond milk
½ cup coconut water

3. Go Green!
Instead of reaching for coffee or harsh caffeinated tea for an afternoon boost, try going to something green. Drinking a green smoothie, green tea, or green juice, or all three! Meghan has green juice every afternoon. But, I would highly recommend using a concentrated green powder blend instead. The reason is that juice, no matter how green or how healthy it is, it is still loaded with sugar. In concentrated green powders, they take out all the sugar and salt and you get more of the benefits because 1 small teaspoon is equivalent to 10 vegetables. Green vegetables are loaded with antioxidants and phytochemicals, which help to heal and repair your skin. It also helps in the creation of new healthier younger skin cells making you look and feel years younger!
4. Yoga
Meghan has been practicing yoga since she was a child under the guidance of her yoga instructor mother, Doria Radlan. Yoga is a form of postures, breathing techniques, and meditation methods that help improve flexibility; and strength and can help you lose weight. Yoga helps to reduce stress, improves your digestive system, and helps to detox your body from toxins that can cause major skin problems. Practicing yoga daily is what Meghan does to keep her body in tip-top shape. It also keeps her skin clear since she is prone to acne breakouts.
