Easy Resistant Band Workout You Can Do Anywhere For Tight Toned Legs

The holidays are here and travel is in the air. Not sure how to get your workouts in while visiting family and friends? One of my favorite fitness routines is resistant band workouts. They are underrated and they are a great addition to any workout. Resistant bands are easy to pack in a suitcase and better than free weights because you can do them at the park, in your hotel room, anywhere. Here are my favorite 8 exercises to help get rid of orange peel thighs! Get smoother more toned legs in weeks.

Clam Shell

Step 1 Place a resistant band around your knees.

Step 2 Lift your knee upward about 8 inches, keep your feet on top of each other.

Step 3 Lift your knee up and then down. This is one repetition. Do 10-15 reps.

Basic Squats

Step 1  Place the resistant band around your knees.

Step 2 Stand with feet comfortably wider than hip-width apart, toes pointed forward at a 45-degree angle.

Step 3 Keep your check lifted, core tight, lower body as if sitting in a chair.

Step4 Stand up and make sure to press through the center of your feet.

Repeat 10-15 reps.

Glutei Bridge

Step 1 Lying down on a mat, keep our face up on the floor, knees bent. Place the resistant band around your thighs just above your knees.

Step 2 Engage your core so your lower back is pressed against the floor.

Step 3 Push with your feet and lift your hips up until they are aligned with your knees and squeeze your gluts muscles at the tip. Lower hip and this is one rep. Do 10-15 reps.

Single-Leg Dead Lift

Step 1 Place your feet hip-width apart and place the band under the ball of your right foot. Then stagger your stance a bit by putting your left foot a few inches behind your right. Drive forward at your waist grasping the band using two hands, and extend your left leg behind you as you slightly bend your right knee.

Step 2 Keep your right foot firmly on the ground. Putting plenty of tension on the band, push back up with your right leg muscles, keeping your shoulder blades back and together, chest lifted. Keep your left leg slightly staggered as you stand. Repeat and then move to the next side.

Repeat 10 -15 reps.

Donkey Kick

Step 1 Wrap the resistance band around your thighs above the knees.

Step 2 Get on all fours with shoulders and knees on the floor below your hips.

Step 3 With your right foot flexed, kick your right foot up towards the ceiling engaging your glutes on the way up.

Do 10-15 reps on each side.

Hamstring squeeze

Step 1

Step 1 Get on all fours, hands, and knees,  making sure your hands are directly aligned with your should.

Step 2 Place a rolled towel between the inside of your knee making sure to keep it in place.

Step 3 Lift your leg up toward the ceiling making sure to squeeze the glutes on the way up.

Do this 10 -15 times and switch legs.

Fire Hydrant

Step 1 This move is similar to the Donkey Kick, except now you will open your hip. Wrap the resistance band around your thighs, just above your knees. Come to an all-fours position with your wrists below your shoulders and your knees directly below your hips.

Step 2 Lift your right knee to the right while engaging your core to keep the rest of your body stable and your spine in a neutral position.

Step 3 Bring your knee back to the floor to return to your starting position. Do all the reps on one side, then repeat on the other side.

Lateral Step Squat

Step 1 Place a resistance band around your ankles.

Step 2: Stand with your feet a little more than shoulder-width apart.

Step 3: Get into a squat position, knees at roughly a 45-degree angle, and walk sideways. Take 5 to 10 steps to the left, then right, keeping your knees bent and maintaining resistance on the band throughout. Repeat 3-5 times.
