How To Look Good Without Makeup
5 Tips From The World’s Top Super Models
Hola Victoria!
I am wondering what to do about my horrible acne! I’m new to modeling in the United States from Brazil and I never had acne until I came here. According to my doctor, it is most likely from the foods here, and I should start with my diet. My diet consists of light meats like chicken and fish, veggies and fruit, but I have to admit, I do eat a lot of junk foods. I don’t eat a lot, just not the right foods. Another reason I think I’m getting breakouts is due to the amount of makeup I have to wear for photo shoots. It seems to be irritating my skin. My questions; how can I get my skin to look good without makeup so that when I am not auditioning or working on a project, my skin will be acne-free, clear, and pretty?

Hi Yasmin!
Welcome to America! Thank you for emailing me with your questions. I understand where you’re coming from! I used to suffer from acne and that’s why this subject is dear to my heart. For me, I had to start my diet as you mentioned. Yes! The food sources here are crazy!! And junk food is so prevalent that it takes the willpower of steel to keep away from it. We all have to constantly read food labels to avoid artificial colors and ingredients, sugar, MSG (which they hide under natural flavorings), and other chemicals. Makeup, of course, can cause breakouts too. However, I’d I’ve worked with many models from all over the world and many of them share similar beauty tips for how to look good without makeup. Believe it or not, there is no such thing as looking good without makeup in a sense because wearing light makeup can protect your skin. However, no makeup in the world will look good if you have unhealthy skin. Learning how to look good without makeup is an amazing goal that should always be your top goal. Here are a few tips from the world’s top-paid supermodels.
Kendall Jenner – Cleanses 3 times daily
Facial hygiene is important for many reasons. Washing your face removes the build-up of toxins and bacteria from the environment and what is released internally. Washing your face regularly helps to hydrate your skin. Dehydrated skin looks old, wrinkled, and dry. Keeping your face clean helps to keep breakouts and patchy dry skin from forming. You know this, but you may not know how to effectively wash your face so that you reap all the possible anti-aging benefits.
Remember to always wash your face upon waking in the morning to refresh, rejuvenate, and open your pores so your skincare products can absorb better. After washing, do a facial water splash to stimulate blood flow which will help produce more collagen. After a workout, wash your face before bed. Like Kendal, the world’s top-paid model, if she washes her face 3 times a day, it may be wise to follow her lead!
Gisele Bundchen – Use A Light Touch
To achieve a no-makeup look like Gisele, wash, dry, and moisturize using a product that contains light oils to give your skin a natural glow. Add a primer to seal and tighten pores. Next, add a concealer the same color as your skin and skip the foundation, or use a light sheer foundation. For a natural glow and dewy look, add a cream highlighter to your cheeks and under your brow. Cream shadows in natural tones help your eye to pop. Use a light mascara on the upper and lower lashes. Complete the look with a natural tone cream or matte lip color. This natural look is often just enough to carry you through your day of errands, work, exercise, or even an early dinner with friends.
Chrissy Teigen – Drinks Tons Of Water
John Legend’s wife, supermodel Chrissy Teigen has many skin care tips, but one she firmly stands by is making sure she is always hydrated. “Drinking water is so important that people don’t realize that it doesn’t matter what makeup you use or how it is applied, if your skin is not hydrated, you won’t get the look you’re trying to achieve.”
Drinking water helps your body to eliminate toxins, plumps up your skin so that fine lines and wrinkles disappear, helps your body to speed up skin cell turnover, and helps your skin care products work better. How much should you drink? At least 64 ounces of water daily and more if you exercise.
Gigi Hadid – Loves To Exfoliate
Gigi Hadid, Victoria’s Secret Model and spoke model for the cosmetic brand Maybelline, believes in exfoliating her skin. Exfoliating your skin helps to gently get rid of dead skin cells and reveals new fresh skin underneath. Exfoliating can help unclog pores, helps to reduce pore size, and helps to stimulate blood circulation while adding an extra cleansing result
Adrianna Lim – Uses organic skincare
For this hot Brazilian supermodel, she is an Organic Skin Care Junkie! If she hears of a new organic product her ears perk up! Why? Because organic makeup is healing to the skin. There are no fillers in the high-end skincare brands. Every ingredient has a purpose and is just as effective, if more so, than a brand that uses chemicals and artificial ingredients.
Organic skincare products use ingredients that are plant-derived. The plants and other natural ingredients are grown free of pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, GMOs, and more. Most can be used for all skin types, but formulations are created for specific skin problems.
When I had a dream of creating my skincare line, it was because of, as mentioned earlier, my struggle with acne and all types of other skin conditions. I had to create my products because a lot of the spa products were high-priced and were not as effective.
My first recommendation is to start with a good cleanser like Advanced Exfoliating Cleanser Celebrity Clarifying Series, which offers gentle exfoliation along with a powerful ingredient called Glycolic Acid.
MADE WITH NATURAL INGREDIENTS They are formulated under strict conditions and are made in small batches to ensure their freshness and potency.
